Everything Cakes and More

I have a serious addiction to cakes and everything that comes with them! I have been baking and decorating cakes for almost 12 years now for all kinds of occassions! I like to make all kinds of confections with baking and candy making that I will post here too. I mostly create for family and friends but if you have someone or are someone who likes what you see and would like a specialty cake, I would be glad to help! I also do lots of cakes for friends of a friend too. Please have a look around and I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do!

Car's Cake

This was a fun cake I did for my son's 5th birthday. Back then Car's was fairly new and we were watching it several times a day. When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday cake he wanted to draw a picture for me. He drew a race track with the cars on it and an entire stadium! I explained that the cake would be way too big in the scale he had drawn it, but we could just take a chunk out of it. His favorite part of the movie is the photo finish at the beginning so we took that chunk of the track and recreated it. It is complete with Car's cars he could keep, the finish line, and asphalt rocks on the track!

Candy Train

This cake was for my nephews birthday. He really liked trains and what kid doesn't like candy!

Little Einstein's

This cake was for my neighbors son's birthday. He was big into Little Einstein's and pirates so I mixed the best of both worlds.

Lace Wedding Cake

This cake was done for a clients wedding. It turned out beautifully. I loved the addition of the deep purple colored lace pattern. Very elegant and feminine.

Cupcake Cake

Who says you can't have cake AND cupcakes for your birthday! This cake was made for my neighbors daughter for her 30th birthday.

Barbie Cake

This cake was for my daughters 3rd birthday. She was and always will be into the princesses and girly things in life!

Bridal Shower cake and cake pops

May 17, 2011- I made these for a friend's sister-in-law's bridal shower. They were doing the Time theme where everyone brings a gift according to a different time of the day. So, they wanted a clock cake to represent the theme and then some cake pops to represent the wedding side. The bride pops were chocolate cake, the groom pops were white cake, and the clock was a marble mix of both! How's that for symbolism? A successful marriage takes just the right combination of a bride and a groom, plus a whole lot of time to blend!

Triple Chocolate Decadance

My sister Stephanie and I decided that in order to get what we wanted for Mother's Day dessert we would make our own. She made a delightful cheesecake for me and I made this heavenly chocolate cake for her. She's 8 months pregnant and just wanted some chocolate! Can you blame her?

Cupcake Bites

I made these for our Ward Pot Luck dinner and dessert auction. I took 7 plates with 6 cupcake bites on each one and they all sold for $10-$12 each! I also took the ones in the ice cream cones over to my friend Jen's for her birthday.
