Everything Cakes and More

I have a serious addiction to cakes and everything that comes with them! I have been baking and decorating cakes for almost 12 years now for all kinds of occassions! I like to make all kinds of confections with baking and candy making that I will post here too. I mostly create for family and friends but if you have someone or are someone who likes what you see and would like a specialty cake, I would be glad to help! I also do lots of cakes for friends of a friend too. Please have a look around and I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do!

Tiered Tiger Lily

This one I made for a friend of my sister-in-law for her wedding. The first pic is the cake complete at my house then the second is at the church where the reception was. I had to actually finish the cake there as she wanted fresh flowers on it. I was skeptical about the bright orange flowers but it turned out simply beautiful!

Handy Dandy Notebook

For my son Gus on his 2nd birthday. What two year old doesn't love Blues Clues? This one had a sugar cookie crust and the notebook spirals were licorice ropes.

Landing on the Moon

For my son Max's 6th birthday. This one is one of my all time favorites. Not only because it was fun to make but it got one of the best reactions! He loved this cake and that is truly what makes it all worth it.

Hello Kitty #2

For my niece Paisley on her 4th birthday.

Dr. Pepper

For my niece Janae on her 12th birthday.

Tinkerbell

For my niece Claire on her 1st birthday.

GI Joe

For my son Max's 7th birthday I did a simple GI Joe cake. Sorry the head got cut off in the picture. He liked it because after we blew out the candles he got to keep the figures!

Bob The Blob

For my son Gus's 3rd birthday Monster's vs. Alien's was big and so we made a Bob cake.

Chocolate & Maple Bars

These were made for a craving I was having for a good maple bar. The icing turned out a little runny but they were really good none the less! I took them to a birthday dinner for the Cooper's.

Mickey and Goofy

For our neighbors son, Paul. He loves Disney and especially Mickey Mouse. This one is done with color flow and the figures are raised off the cake for a 3D effect.

Super Hero Cake

I made this one for a Young Women in Excellence activity. The theme was Heroes. We put on a play where the girls were the Value Heroes and the leaders were villains trying to tempt them to do wrong. The cake went well for dessert with a big scoop of ice cream!

Tea Time

For my daughter Carly's 6th birthday she had some friends over for a tea party. Of course we needed a tea pot cake to go with all the other finery!

Hello Kitty

For my nieces Rylee on her 3rd birthday. This one is unique because of the big flowers that accent the border. Very cute and girly, just like her!

Easter Egg Nests

We used some of the chocolate to make bird nests with blackberries, chocolate drizzle, and Cadbury eggs on them. Yummmm, chocolate!

Tuxedo Strawberries

Another great treat for any occassion is chocolate dipped strawberries. For Cooper girls weekend, Marie brought supplies to make them and we ended up with tuxedo strawberries. So yummy!

Topsy Turvy

For my friend Candace's birthday cake all she wanted was a cute tilted cake. She had found a picture of one like this and decided that was what she wanted. Happy Birthday Candace!

Lightening McQueen

For my niece's 2nd birthday she wanted a Cars cake. This is her favorite movie and Lightening McQueen is her favorite character.

Welcome to Our Patch

For my sister in laws house warming party I made a garden style cake complete with flowers, fence, rocks, and grass!

The Last Airbender

For Max's 8th birthday cake I did, Avatar, The Last Airbender. A simple funfetti sheet cake with buttercream frosting. Just what the kid ordered!

How to Train Your Dragon

For Gus's 4th birthday he wanted a dragon cake with (I quote), "a viking hat and flying dragons." So, thanks to the best DI find ever, we found a Viking hat there and bought the bucket-o-dragons at Wal-Mart. I think it turned out really cute!

Misc. Cake Pops

It seems like I've been making a lot of these lately. Maybe it's just because I love them so much I want to share them with the world!

Easter Egg pops

This is my trial run for Easter. I will be making these plus some adorable little yellow chicks for our Easter egg hunt! I really like these. They will be super fun for Easter.

Pink Cake Pop Tower

For my sisters baby shower I made a pink and brown cake pop tower. The cake part is strawberry rice crispies and the pops are triple chocolate cake and chocolate fudge frosting. no way there is a pregnant woman in the house? What a great way to celebrate the birth of a baby girl!

Soccer Ball

My niece, Chelsea, was asking a boy to do a couples dance with her Dance Company. She asked me to make a soccer ball cake for her to give to him since he likes soccer. And don't worry, he said yes!

R2D2 Cake

My friend Candace's sister, Brandy ordered a cake for her son's 6th birthday party. She asked for a 3D R2D2 cake. This is what I came up with. Other than the blue not being as dark as I wanted it to be, I think it turned out pretty good.
